This is brilliant device . Having just over 400 bulbs to plant it was extremely hard work. It used it for 200 in the lawn . It did take a lot of tea breaks , it actually killed my hands pressing it down and very hard to cut in to lawn . The handle could do with some kind of padding on. However I did achieve 200 . It didn’t break . For the rest of the bulbs in soil quite compacted with few stones it became too difficult to use and used a trowel instead . It doesn’t have a lever that pops soil out , which I think is better idea as less to break. Just means like others said the soil pops out on top as u go to each hole and remove it by hand . Giving u a plug to put in previous hole . Would defo recommend. Just hard work . But then I guess planting over 400 bulbs is a bit adventurous and hard work anyway . I like that it has a ruler on the side measuring depth of hole . Good purchase ☺️🌷

I am very pleased with this bulb planter as you can get a lot deeper than the standard ones, its easy to use, and with it being stainless steel there's no rust.

Used for putting my bulbs in. Measures on side make finding the correct depth a cinch. Looks great and just know this will last for ages. There are cheaper ones out there but this one, I feel is worth the money.

First time using a bulb planter and I can't believe after 20 years of gardening, I've not used one of these before. I went for this one as it was quite thick metal and wooden handle. This really cut into the ground in the winter with ease. It has jagged edges at the bottom which you can twist if you hit a tough patch and it gets through. Also has the measurements on the side to show how far you had dug down.
