This trimmer was easy to use and was good enough to trim a hedge that wasn't too thick, it did jam if it hit a stick which was even a little bit thick, my right wrist is weak so even though the machine is light, I did need to change hands occasionally. It's good value for money, if bought at the reduced price, as I did. Very good and efficient on grass.

This was handy for clipping outside the reach of the mains cable, e.g. along the road. I had read in a lady's review before I purchased the item that the battery had not lasted the winter. With this in mind I frequently recharged the shears even when not being used. Today at the beginning of March it is impossible to use the shears because there is no charge left and it is impossible to recharge either because of a faulty battery or charger. I still have the invoice where it states that "if an item is returned outside of the 30 day warranty period or is not in mint condition we regret that we will not be able to process your return...…". So into the bin/trash it goes, hardly used. Do NOT buy this item - two of us have reached the same conclusion.

Being a senior citizen I like this gadget as it is easy to hold in the one hand with no flex to worry about. I have a few small bushes that seem to need a haircut once a week just now and the battery, once charged is powerful enough to last about 3 times. Occasionally it stops if I have mistakenly hit a thicker branch so obv you need to stop to release the branch. I think it was a good price point and although I don’t use the small blade as I have no grass, I am sure it would be very useful.
