This is a useful addition to any small garden. Although the product title says it has a steel frame, as you can see from all the photos, it doesn't. The frame is made from plastic. It comes flat packed as a series of tubes, brackets and shelves but is very easy to put together. It's quite intuitive and only takes a few minutes. I can't speak for its durability as I've only had mine for a few weeks, although one would expect plastic to weaken relatively quickly with constant exposure to the elements. But you have to take into account the price when assessing value, and I'd be very happy with this item even if it only lasted a few years for the very low purchase price. And there are some obvious advantages to construction from plastic. One, it's very light, and easy to move around the garden. Two, if you ever need to deconstruct it - for example, because you're moving home - it looks likely to be a doddle. As a few other purchasers have highlighted, because it is lightweight and much higher than it is wide, there is some risk that it could be blown over in high winds. I think the solution to this is simply to put it in a sheltered area, and to find some heavier things to put on the lower shelves to weigh it down a bit. The other user note I'd add is that the lightweight wire shelves are simply held down by gravity, so they could be knocked off by movement. It's easy enough to tie them to the frame with string or twine, but that isn't included. There seems to be lots of capacity, and I'm looking forward to filling it with lots of seedlings in the coming months. As a keen gardener, I think it's going to be heavily used in the coming years!

I have never seriously propagated plants or grown seedlings, so I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money if it just didn’t work for me. This was definitely not a huge amount of money! On receipt, I realised that you can’t grow taller plants ( wanted to house my 2 ft lemon tree) unless you lose one of the shelves - which doesn’t make too much difference to any instability so that’s ok. My garden is pretty sheltered, as you can see the greenhouses are up against the wall, so hopefully protected from the worst. They are very easy to assemble. I only ordered one initially, but very soon after I got it the zip came away from the plastic cover, rendering it useless. I wrote a pretty unhappy email to the seller who immediately apologised and sent me a new one! Very good customer service. Just be very careful zipping and unzipping. I don’t think this would be suitable for anything other than the most apprentice of gardeners, but they are really good starting place to see whether you like it. I also like the fact that I will be able to pack them up and store them away come summertime as I don’t have a very large garden… all in all a pretty good deal.

Very pleasantly surprised. Arrived quickly, a diagram to set it up no written instructions but pretty easy to work out. Quite sturdy when completed and great value for money. For a small space would recommend.
